Disable comments

How does one disable comments and leave a reply on WordPress?

To disable Leave a reply section, visit your WordPress blog’s administration dashboard. Choose Pages — move your mouse over the About page and click on Quick Edit.

Uncheck the section Allow Comments and publish the page.
